Strawberry Traditions

U-Pick is open everyday(starting June 3rd) 8am-6pm, only at our Hobart, IN location, weather permitting. Strawberry Madness Festival is June 12th.

The Johnson family has been growing strawberries in Hobart for over 50 years. We were primarily a "Pick Your Own Farm" until the 1990s. At that time ready picked berries became more popular as people had less time to spend picking in the field.

We currently farm over 400 acres and have 40 acres of strawberries ready to pick in 2009. The season usually starts early June and continues until the 4th of July. This year, however we anticipate our stawberries being ready in late May until the end of June. Join our mailing list for updates. Weather makes a big difference in the starting date and availability of berries during the season.

Every year we have a Strawberry Maddness. This year the Maddness will be Sat June 12th. That is opening day for strawberry picking. The fields will be bursting with strawberries!
